“The fringe program that we have lined up in this year’s MIBTC is one of the most varied for a commercial vehicle expo of this scale. Visitors can expect to be thoroughly engaged with a diverse range of activities catering to commercial vehicle manufacturers, fleet owners and commercial vehicle drivers alike”, said Stefan Pertz, editor of the Asian Trucker magazine and organizer of the MIBTC 2015.
One of the key highlights of the expo is the Scania Driver Competition - MIBTC Edition that will take place throughout the three days of the expo. The competition which is one of the Asian Trucker Driver club activities happening at the MIBTC, is run by Scania Malaysia and supported by GiiB, Shell Malaysia and ZF. “We are definitely seeing a more international flavour to this second MIBTC. This year, we have exhibitors coming from Canada, Italy, Germany and Thailand as well as a number of international media supporters. The fact that several exhibitors have timed their product launches in conjunction with the MIBTC speaks of the significance they place on this event and their confidence of a strong turnout and the subsequent business opportunities”, said Pertz.
Other interesting programs lined up include the Best Booth Design contest whereby two exhibitors with the best designed booth for both bare space and shell scheme, as voted by the expo’s visitors will win a total cash prize of RM20,000 and a business matchmaking service to enable trade visitors to make appointments to see their vendors through the Business Matchmaking Module.
