Asia-Pacific’s premier annual trade event for alternative fuel in transportation is back.
The Alternative Fuel Transport Exhibition and conference for Asia pacific that will be held from 28-30 April at BITEC in Bangkok, endorsed by the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Transport Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Industry and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. Over 40 countries will take part in this exhibition and Asian Trucker will be exhibiting too.
The AFT Asia 2014 exhibition and conference will highlight the latest technologies, developments and policies driving alternative fuel transport into the next decade.

Kenneth Teh was clearly delighted as all the hard work his team has put into this agreement finally came to fruition. "We are offering a unique solution for the commercial vehicle industry. This 3-year agreement is for the total management of the tyres of Piketemas' fleet and it is based on CPK, Cost per Kilometre" he says. Included is the breakdown service from Kit Loong Commercial Tyres and according to Teh, all elements of the fabled Kit Loong Sigma Formula come into play in this deal that was brokered over the last nine months.

net, the excitement and thrill about this race shows in the pictures. This competition took place at Juma River in Laishui county, Hebei province. This is the fourth leg of the 2013 Shaanqi Cup China Super Truck Race.
Another publicity stunt to focus the public’s attention is their only female racer who took part in the truck race. The key differentiator that distinguishes this race from other truck races in America and Europe is that China held this competition as an off-road truck race, besides rallies that typically take days, most likely the only such event in the world.

The idea of writing this article arose while attending the Land Public Transport Symposium by SPAD (Suruhjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat). Apart from the benefits gained by the society, we try to look the benefits gained for the trucking industry.
A clear road gives more space. If everyone were to use the public transport, roads will be clearer which means more space for the truckers to use the road. A truck is a huge vehicle and cannot always easily manoeuvre on the road, thus they need more space for turning, parking, stopping and when driving on the road.

Speaking at the event, Mr Mats Nilsson, Managing Director of Volvo Malaysia said, “The deliveries of these trucks reflects our strong business commitment among our customers in Sabah and it is also in response to the growing needs of the transportation and haulage industry in East Malaysia.”
East Malaysia, a significant market for Volvo Trucks, is notable for its natural resources – mainly petroleum, timber, agriculture and logging; and recently, these industries has seen an increase in demand for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
Several questions were repeatedly asked directly to the editor of the Asian Trucker magazine, Stefan Pertz and we would light to shed some light. The name of the magazine itself mostly shows the geographic area that they are active in. The magazine has now four editions which are published in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. This magazine is focused on all matters relating to the trucking industry.
After four years in the market, the response of the magazine is very encouraging as Asian Trucker started with its first issue publishing 48 pages. The latest issue sports some 120, and more companies support the magazine by advertising in Asian Trucker. The magazine will be published bi-monthly in Malaysia next year as the team has received a very good feedback from the market itself.
Although publishing a magazine is our main priority, Asian Trucker offers few other services in order to provide more communications channels to their customers. Asian Trucker has own website, where everyone can upload their story about commercial vehicles, products, or the latest events free of charge.
