Following the 17th Annual General Meeting of the Association of Malaysian Hauliers (AMH) on December 29, 2020, Mr. Soo Chee Yeong was elected as the President by the AMH members. 

The Association promises to be very proactive and is working hand in hand with the all relevant parties including the various  Government agencies in regards to the plight of the industry. The Association will definitely be looking forward to working hand in hand even closer with all the parties in not only resolving issues pertaining to the industry but also for the betterment of the country’s economy and nation building as a whole. 

 President - Soo Chee Yeong
Soo Chee Yeong started his career as an Administration and Marketing Manager with a privately-owned retail company, where he played a key role in orchestrating the joint venture and operation of three supermarkets in the Klang Valley. His venture into the logistics industry began when he joined NCT Logistics Sdn Bhd as a Manager in 2000. The company was acquired by Johanlaju Transport Sdn Bhd in 2003, in which Soo was appointed to Director and General Manager of the company. Johanlaju Transport Sdn Bhd was later acquired by the management, which leads to the establishment of Vertex Mission Sdn Bhd in 2005. He obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from Middlesex University, UK.

Soo is a founding member of the Association of Malaysian Hauliers (AMH), and serves as its Exco member from 2003 to 2005, Vice President from 2006 to 2012. In 2012 he was elected to the Deputy President position which he held until recently in 2020. In total he has been serving the Association for the last 18 years, representing AMH in participating in discussion and policy settings with MOT, MITI, MIDA, APAD, LPK and various related parties and associations in the industry. So, in 2021 following the decision by then President, Dato’ Nazari bin Haji Akhbar to not contest for the new 2021 term, Soo decided to contest for the Presidency, and with his background and support from members was elected to be the president for 2021.

Deputy President - Vissnu Rengasamy
Vissnu Rengasamy is from the 2nd generation of the re-known transportation company, L&R Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd which was co - founded by his late father, Mr. Rengasamy @Raju. After completing his studies in Business IT at Nilai College, he joined his late father in the year 2000. R. Vissnu then further pursued his studies in Bachelor of Business Administration (Logistics) UK. R. Vissnu separated from the parent company, L&R Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd in 2005 when his late father passed away and helmed L&R Haulage Sdn Bhd since then. 

In 2004 R. Vissnu became a Council Member of Negeri Sembilan Lorry Owners Association (NSLOA). He was further elected into the Council of Pan Malaysian Lorry Owners Association (PMLOA) in 2006. He joined Association of Malaysian Hauliers (AMH) in 2003 and was elected into the Council as a Council Member in 2010. In 2015, he was elected to be the Vice President of AMH until 2020. R. Vissnu was also the Founding Member of Persatuan Usahawan Logistik Semenanjung Malaysia (PULSE) and became the first President of the Association in 2017. In the last AMH election in 2020, R. Vissnu was elected to be the Deputy President of the Association.
