Rapid KL, a service brand under Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) for rail and bus transportation in the Klang Valley, proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary today.

Since its establishment through the merger of several bus and rail services in the capital, and after undergoing transformation and rebranding, Rapid KL has now grown into a major public transport mode that mobilizes city dwellers.

Starting with two routes and 49 rail stations, as well as 179 bus service routes, Rapid KL now operates five routes and 147 rail stations and a bus network exceeding 250 routes in the Klang Valley.

Thanks to the efforts, determination, and commitment of more than 12,000 employees of the Prasarana Group who serve more than 1.2 million daily users on average across rail and bus services, Rapid KL has now become the backbone of public transport in the Klang Valley.

Rapid KL has played an important role in fostering a culture of public transport over the past two decades, enhancing systematic and integrated public transport connectivity.

Through its extensive network, Rapid KL continues to strive for continuous service improvements to provide the best service and meet the demands of city dwellers.

Anniversary Logo and Special Celebration Activities
To commemorate this historic moment, Rapid KL introduces a special logo as a meaningful symbol of the celebration.

Additionally, Rapid KL will hold several special activities, including a celebration event to be held on 26 and 27 October.

The two-day event will feature various exciting activities such as a food festival highlighting local vendors, performances, and other activities to enliven this anniversary celebration.
