Scania launches Scania Credit (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd

In today’s competitive market, Scania’s range of flexible and comprehensive financial solutions aims to give local companies predictable costs and manageable risks over the entire life cycle of their vehicles. In addition to commercial banking solutions, Malaysian haulage and logistics companies can now look forward to an attractive alternative in financing options to help in their future fleet expansion. Scania Malaysia will provide diversified financial services, including hire purchase and leasing for acquisition of trucks, buses and other related products to qualified Scania customers. What makes this service special is that the financing is done by Scania itself and not through a third party. For the client, this means ease of. Launched at the official truck-handing over ceremony of 5 brand-new trucks to Nova Haulage Services Sdn Bhd, Scania Malaysia’s first ever customer to sign up Scania Credit facility, this service is already seeing good response. During the launch, Mr. Ferike Pasthy, Scania Credit Group’s Regional Director for Asia said "This is not an additional discount for the sales department, but a clever solution that supports our customers. Not everyone would want or need this solution, but those eligible will benefit from it in the long run". According to him, the provision of this new solution is not only based on hard facts and documents, but also on trust and commitment for long term business from both parties.

Nova Haulage currently has some 34 trucks, all of which are European models. Their average age of fleet is only four years and the new trucks are to replace old ones that are being phased out.
