Australian electric vehicle drivetrain manufacturer SEA Electric has released new images and videos of their all-electric Isuzu F Series and the Iveco Acco EV.

SEA Electric specialises in zero emissions alternatives for a number of vans and trucks, by fitting its locally developed drivetrains on most van and cab/chassis platforms which includes brands like Ford, Iveco, and Isuzu.

The Isuzu F Series is powered by the SEA-Drive 120 electric power-systems that can travel up to 350km per charge with an up to 10-year battery lifecycle. It has a 136kW nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery with a three-phase on-board charging and is able to carry up to 14 tonnes gross vehicle mass. The electric power system brings a maximum power of 250kW and a Maximum torque of 2 500Nm. The Isuzu F Series also has a top speed of 100kph and the battery is able to recharge in less than five hours.

SEA's main manufacturing plant is located at Dandenong, Melbourne. The company is going to launch a truck assembly operation in the state's La Trobe Valley, next year. It has assembly operations in the United States of America, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and Austria.

"We have global aspirations with the product currently deployed in six countries. Disappointingly, Australia is the only one of the countries with no incentives for EV operators, yet it is the only country where we've invested in an assembly operation," said its group managing director Tony Fairweather in a statement.

At the same time, the company also published photos of the Iveco Acco EV (Photo on the left). It is a heavy-duty commercial truck with a gross vehicle mass range from 18 tonnes to 26 tonnes. It generates a maximum torque of 3 500Nm and it has an unladen range of up to 250km.

The SEA-Drive also known as the heart of the company's system, uses the regenerative braking system to slow down the vehicle and recharge the battery.

Currently, the company has developed nine SEA-Drive power system to electrify vehicles from four tonnes to 26 tonnes.

In May 2019, SEA Electric all-electric garbage trucks have been deployed in a small number in Australia. The garbage trucks are refrigerated with 220km range. They are similar to the trucks that rolled out in New Zealand.

The company is also looking at electric buses. However, at the moment, SEA Electric only has the 100 percent electric 15-seater van in its product line-up.
