MAN Showcases Full Range of Commercial Vehicles for the First Time in Malaysia

MAN Truck & Bus (M) Sdn Bhd (MAN Malaysia) was showcasing the full range of its products and services for the first time in Malaysia at the 2024 edition of Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo (MCVE).

“We had a wonderful outing in MCVE 2022 when we wowed the crowd with our EURO V specification MAN Trucks, including our flagship MAN TGX.  This time around, we are delighted to present the full range of MAN low-emission commercial vehicles for the first time in Malaysia, including our popular MAN TGE Van,” said MAN Malaysia Managing Director Andrew O’Brooks.

Leading the star-studded line-up is the MAN TGS Prime Mover, Malaysia’s best-selling EURO V specification Truck, in two variants – 6x4 and 6x2 ADR (Accord Dangereux Routier or European regulations for Dangerous Goods specification).  The latest MAN TGS is even more robust, further enhanced with better aerodynamics and equipped with a higher level of safety features.

Also on display were the MAN RR5 Bus/Coach chassis, which now comes with a EURO V-specification engine as standard.  This proven chassis from MAN is the ideal solution for intercity transport providers due to its proven fuel efficiency, low maintenance, total durability and reliability; and now, sustainability.  Enhanced with a full suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), it offers optimum safety to the driver, passengers and other road users.

Making its official debut in Malaysia was the versatile daily transport solution, the MAN TGE Van. One of the best-selling vans in Europe, the MAN TGE is set to win over new market segments when launched in the future. Powered by a fuel-efficient and low-emission 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, the MAN TGE is easily customisable.  It is available as a Panel Van, Chassis Cab, Crew Cab, Combi Van or Mini Bus.

O’Brooks said that MAN Malaysia has also proactively ramped up its aftersales support to help fleet owners manage and mitigate the effects of rising costs this year.

In a move to provide flexibility to transporters so that they can maximise the uptime of their MAN vehicles, the company announced that its Shah Alam service centre has extended its operation hours to 18 hours from 8.30 am to 2.30 am the next day from Monday to Friday.

The addition of a late shift until 2.30 am would provide unprecedented flexibility to fleet owners.  They can now have the option of scheduling maintenance and repair of their vehicles at night so that they can be on the road during the day.

Drivers can rest in comfort at the customer lounge’s recliner sofas and have access to shower facilities and refreshments while waiting for their vehicles to be ready. Appointments can be made through the MAN Malaysia website’s online booking service.

MAN Malaysia is also stepping up the promotion of its value-for-money MAN Genuine Parts Ecoline range.  These high-quality, remanufactured parts  for older MAN Trucks offer savings of up to 40 percent without compromising on performance.

“We are meeting the needs of the market here in Malaysia with these initiatives.  At MAN Malaysia, we are focused not only in selling great Trucks and Buses.  We want to help businesses power ahead with confidence, knowing that we always have their backs,” he added.

At the three-day event, MAN Malaysia also displayed and sold a comprehensive range of genuine MAN parts and lifestyle accessories at special prices.
