October 26th marked another remarkable milestone in the history of Dayasakti’s Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd as they launched their first Scania New Bus Generation and Malaysia’s first Scania Euro V Tourist Bus at Bayuemas  Cricket Oval, Klang, SelangorGracing the ceremony today was YB Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, Deputy  Minister of Tourism, Dato S Chandran, Founder of Dayasakti Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, Mr Vishnu Prasath Chandran, Chief Executive Officer and Business  Development Director of Dayasakti Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, Mr Shahril Othman, Solution Sales Director for Bus & Coach of Scania Southeast Asia and Mr Bernard Ang, Business Development Director of Sin Hock Leong.

“The addition of our first Scania New Bus Generation to our fleet demonstrates Dayasakti Travel & Tours’s  commitment to creating a sustainable transportation system in the travel industry, as Scania is a pioneer in this field,” stated Vishnu. 

Compared to the previous generation, the new  generation Scania coaches can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 9%, without  compromising on performance. This is achieved  through a number of features, with the most significant savings coming from improved engine efficiency. The new Euro V engine can save up to seven percent  depending on engine size and vehicle configuration and usage, while Scania’s enhanced gearbox range and Scania Cruise Control with Active Prediction also contribute to further savings.

The Scania New Bus Generation is also built to offer enhanced safety for both drivers and passengers through reinforced chassis construction along with the latest addition of Lane Departure Warning (LDW) to its standard safety systems that already includes Electronic Braking System (EBS) with  Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control.
