Syarikat Sabariah Bersaudara Sdn Bhd became the first in Sabah to receive a pair of Scania K450CB6X2NI New Bus Generation (NBG) Euro V Double-Deck coaches. They come equipped with Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Warning (BSW); all components of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety. Sabarudin Bin Haji Kirinu, Managing Director of Syarikat Sabariah Bersaudara Sdn Bhd, received the keys from Rini Sabir Mässgård, Dealer Director of East Region, Scania Southeast Asia.

“These Scania coaches provide enhanced control for the drivers, helping to further reduce the risk of accidents. This milestone sets a new benchmark in road safety, underscoring our unwavering commitment to the safety and comfort of our passengers and all other road users,” stated Sabarudin.

The new coaches are equipped with AEB, ACC, and BSW, in addition to standard safety features such as the Electronic Braking System (EBS) with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control, and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). They also come standard with a speed limiter to prevent the vehicle from exceeding a pre-set maximum speed.

Compared to the previous generation, the Scania NBG can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to nine percent, without compromising on performance. The new Euro V engine can save up to seven percent depending on engine size, vehicle configuration, and usage, while Scania’s enhanced gearbox range and Scania Cruise Control with Active Prediction contribute to further savings.

The Scania NBG is also developed with both passenger and driver environments in mind. Passengers benefit from a comfortable ride, thanks to an improved suspension system and an efficient gearbox that ensures smooth transmission. Additionally, the NBG’s effective climate control system and low-noise interior
further enhance passenger comfort. The driver area offers an optimal work environment with excellent ergonomics, reachability, and visibility.

Syarikat Sabariah Bersaudara’s acquisition includes Scania’s Fleet Management System Control Package, providing Syarikat Sabariah Bersaudara access to Scania Digital Services. Through the My Scania portal and Fleet app, they can monitor their vehicles’ performance, CO₂ emissions, real-time positioning, service schedules, and drivers’ behaviour. With Scania Digital Services, Syarikat Sabariah Bersaudara is not just driving innovation, they’re driving safer journeys. Real-time insights and proactive diagnostics empower operators to prevent issues before they arise, ensuring every ride is as safe as it is efficient.

Syarikat Sabariah Bersaudara’s drivers will also gain access to the My Scania digital ecosystem through the Scania Driver app. This allows their drivers to view core vehicle data, submit pre-departure checks, track their driving time and performance, view service  appointments, and locate the nearest Scania workshop.
