Acknowledging the importance of the drivers, this club by Mercedes Benz offers benefits and aims at improving the standing of the key people in the industry: the drivers.

The Mercedes Benz Trucker's Club, in short called MBTC, has the primary objective to recognize the efforts of our Malaysian Truckers as well as appreciate them for their continuous efforts. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Commercial vehicles wishes to create a platform for truck owners and truck drivers from all over the country to come together. The purpose is to build strong relationships by communicating with one another on a more personal note.

Driving a truck is not just a job, it is a calling. Any country relies on the truckers to move goods on time, provide an essential service to all kinds of industry and making sure manufacturers have their raw materials delivered on time and finished goods taken to their clients. It is therefore that the MBTC is hoping to instill a sense of pride in truckers around the country.

Asian Trucker spoke to a representative of Mercedes who told us that the club "Creates a means for us to reach out to our truckers for us to acknowledge their contributions so that they are aware that their efforts are not gone unnoticed."

Apparently, this is merely a first step for Mercedes to show their appreciation to their truckers and we have learned that there is more to look forward to.
