The entire manufacturing plant, involving an investment of RM16.8 million, sits on a 5.5-acre site in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. It currently has a built-up space of 122,000 sq. ft. and has an additional four acre adjoining it for future expansion.

The launch of the facility will also see the unveiling of the company’s locally-designed ALPHA coach body to lead its foray into this segment in which the company aims to be one of the market leaders.
The ALPHA coach body has more than 80 per cent local content. It is built with a high strength superstructure and designed in accordance with the Malaysian Homologation (VTA) requirements, which is equivalent to the stringent UNECE standards.

Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad Executive Deputy Chairman, Dato’ Tan Heng Chew, was the guest-of-honour at the official launch.
