DC Truck Tools was established in 2008 with the main purpose of supplying special truck tools to the commercial vehicle industry. Dennis Chin first joined to company to help out his father who founded the company. Two years after graduating college, Dennis felt he was ready to join the company. There was a need to expand the business and Dennis’s fresh and younger mindset was much needed to bring changes to the company.

The company found themselves a partner and they went to visit a factory in Taiwan which specialises in truck special tools. From that visit, DC Truck Tools successfully imported Taiwanese truck special tools that proved to be popular in the Malaysian market.

The company’s clientele consists of workshop owners and logistic operators who have an in-house workshop. The company also works with some dealers that help distribute their products although the company’s sales and marketing team are responsible for selling the lion’s share of their products to the end users.

DC Truck Tools is one of the first few companies to offer after sales support for their products. Say for example one of your hydraulic lifts broke down; there is the option of sending it for repair at their workshop instead of purchasing a brand new unit. Dennis said that “our customers are satisfied that we provide after sales service to them. Some even find it surprising that we are providing after sales service to maintain a hydraulic lift. With adequate care, these tools can last for many years so it is definitely a worthy investment.”

DC Truck Tools was at the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2019 to gain some brand exposure and to introduce some new products. Some new products include tools to unfasten tyre; it allows mechanics to open up tyre parts quicker and easier compared to using manual power.
