Geotab Joins TAPA APAC to Help Strengthen Cargo Security Across Southeast Asia

Geotab Inc. (“Geotab”), a global leader in connected transportation, video and asset tracking solutions, has joined the Transported Asset Protection Association Asia Pacific (TAPA APAC) as a member, reinforcing its commitment to supporting cargo security and supply chain resilience across Southeast Asia.
As part of its participation in the TAPA APAC community, Geotab will contribute its expertise in near real-time telematics and data analytics to support industry dialogue and best practices aligned with TAPA APAC’s established security frameworks. This engagement enables greater awareness of how technology can complement operational security measures, particularly for high-value and sensitive goods.
Cargo theft and in-transit losses remain persistent challenges across the Asia-Pacific region as supply chains grow more complex and interconnected. Loss activity often follows identifiable patterns, such as route deviations or unauthorised stops. Advanced telematics insights can support earlier risk identification and more informed decision-making, helping organisations strengthen oversight of cargo movements beyond basic tracking.
“This engagement with TAPA APAC reflects our continued focus on supporting a more secure and efficient transport ecosystem across Southeast Asia,” said Ezanne Soh, Associate Vice President, Southeast Asia, Geotab. “We look forward to contributing our telematics expertise to industry discussions and helping organisations better understand how data-driven insights can support stronger operational visibility and risk management.”
TAPA APAC is a leading industry association focused on reducing cargo crime and strengthening supply chain resilience and security. Its network includes more than 1,000 member entities spanning global manufacturers, logistics providers, security service providers and government agencies, and plays a key role in setting benchmarks and enabling intelligence sharing across the region.
“We are pleased to welcome Geotab as a member of TAPA APAC,” said Tony Lugg, Chairperson of TAPA APAC. “Engagement from organisations across the supply chain ecosystem helps support informed discussion on security challenges and operational best practices.”
Geotab’s participation reflects its broader engagement with industry stakeholders across Asia-Pacific, contributing to ongoing conversations on the role of technology in supporting secure, resilient, and transparent supply chains.
