HINO Trucks to Join Tenaga Nasional Fleets
Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Hino Malaysia) handed over eight units from an order of a 99 units total purchase of the new Hino light-duty trucks from the HINO 300 Series, to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), which acquired additional units to facilitate the expansion of its service maintenance requirements.
TNB aims to enhance its service maintenance quality and HINO XZU720K trucks are all equipped with tower wagon which offers powerful performance and improved fuel-efficiency that eventually will help to improve the profitability of its haul operation.
The model is specified as 4x2 drive configuration, Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 7.5 tonnes, and energy efficient Euro-3 engine with electronic common-rail direct injection. The model is built and designed to comply with Hino's product philosophy of QDR, wich stands for Quality, Durability, and Reliability. They are to deliver extra productivity and superior uptime. Hino’s ultimate focus is to provide quality services to the customers through the notions of ‘Maximise Vehicle Uptime’ and "Minimise Vehicle Lifetime Cost’ in order to provide the best total support. According to a Hino spokesperson, customer experience is of utmost importance to the company.
Working to enhance its after-sales support, Hino recently launched its new warranty for the HINO 300 Series, which now upgraded from three years and 100 000 km warranty to five years and 200 000 km warranty. To build customer trust and confidence as well as to become the customer’s best business partner, Hino Malaysia is also operating their own first training centre for truck driver located in Sendayan.
The centre is called Hino Total Support Customer Center (HTSCC). It is one of Hino’s initiatives to provide the best total support for the customer where customer’s drivers have the opportunity to undergo intensive training programs that include both practical and theoretical courses. The Hino trucks are purchased by TNB through a specialized truck bodybuilder, APlus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (APlus Manufacturing).
The vehicle handover ceremony was recently held at one of TNB's branches in Klang, to officially mark the delivery of the trucks and it was attended by the senior management teams of TNB, Hino Malaysia, and APlus Manufacturing together with Maju Engineering & Services Sdn. Bhd.
The trucks will be in service at most of TNB branches in Klang Valley areas, which primarily include TNB Klang, TNB Subang, TNB Rawang, TNB Cheras, TNB Petaling Jaya, and TNB Puchong.
