The use of Original Equipment (OE) and following appropriate filter change intervals ensures better operation of vehicles. The tropics present unique problems to vehicle and fleet owners, as the humidity can reduce the lifespan of injectors. Water in fuel also causes problems, as do biofuels, due to their fat content.
“Proactive maintenance is your cheapest insurance. Using Original Equipment (OE) parts or authorised Independent Aftermarket (IAM) products and adhering to service schedules, especially for fuel filters, prevents costly diesel engine failures and maximises vehicle uptime," concluded Rydzyuan bin Ramli.
