GMT Plus 8 Sdn Bhd has enterred their first two units of Scania Super trucks into service. Receiving the keys to the trucks is Lee Zi Yang, Director of GMT Plus 8 Sdn Bhd from Rini Sabir Mässgård, Dealer Director of East Region, Scania Southeast Asia.

“Our new Scania Super G420A6X2NZ general cargo application sets a new industry standard with its  exceptional torque at the lowest RPM. Its 13-litre six-cylinder engine produces 2 300NM at 900RPM. This is the most advanced & efficient combustion-engine  powertrain in our fleet that delivers an unprecedented fuel savings of up to eight percent and more,” says Lee.

Side Curtain Airbags and Steering Wheel Airbag come standard with the Scania Super in addition to  Electronic Brake System (EBS) featuring AntiLock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control (TC) to increase the drivers’ safety on the road.

“GMT Plus 8 can further increase safety, fuel  efficiency, and sustainability with our Driver Training and Coaching programme, which is a driving  masterclass beyond teaching how to drive a truck. Their new Scania Super include 3-Year Fleet  Management System Control Package that provides insights and information about their fleet via the My Scania portal and Fleet app. This provides GMT Plus 8 with real-time positioning, vehicle performance  monitoring, CO2 emissions tracking, service planning, defect reporting, and driver evaluation which helps them quickly identify potential vehicle usage improvements that could be achieved via Driver Training and Coaching.

GMT Plus 8’s new Scania Supers also includes a 5-Year Inclusive Maintenance plan with up to 84 checkpoints and access to Scania’s wide network of workshops, where expert teams tailor maintenance to their  business needs.
