of its newest inspection centre, PUSPAKOM Kajang, marking another milestone in the company’s on-going efforts to improve accessibility, increase inspection capacity and enhance customer experience for customers.

Located in Bandar Teknologi Kajang, the new centre will begin operations in phases starting today, providing inspection services for private and light commercial vehicles across one of Selangor's fastest-growing economic and residential corridors.

Operations will be rolled out in three phases, starting with Private Vehicle inspections on 5 October 2026, followed by Routine and Re Routine inspections for light commercial vehicles on 28 October 2026, and Initial and Re Initial inspections from 23 November 2026.

The branch will offer a comprehensive range of inspection services including Initial Inspection (for light vehicles), Routine Inspection (for light vehicles), Special Inspection, Transfer of Ownership Inspection (MV15), Hire Purchase Inspection (B7) and Voluntary Vehicle Inspection (B2). Operations will be introduced progressively to ensure a smooth customer experience and operational readiness, starting 5 October 2026.

The Kajang branch also marks an important step in PUSPAKOM’s efforts to enhance the customer experience, featuring a fresh and modern interior, an air-conditioned waiting area and a more welcoming environment. It is the first PUSPAKOM branch to incorporate the company’s corporate identity into its branch design, marking a step towards creating a more consistent and enhanced customer experience across PUSPAKOM’s branches.

The opening of PUSPAKOM Kajang follows the closure of PUSPAKOM Pandan Mewah, which ceased operations on 30 September 2026. Customers previously served by the Pandan Mewah branch may access inspection services at PUSPAKOM Kajang and other nearby PUSPAKOM branches, subject to the availability of inspection slots.

Looking ahead, the Kajang branch will also play an important role in supporting PUSPAKOM’s technology roadmap and the continued advancement of its inspection capabilities. “The Kajang branch will also serve as an important platform for PUSPAKOM’s future technology initiatives, with AI-assisted inspection capabilities covering both undercarriage and abovecarriage inspections planned for implementation from November 2026. The initial implementation will focus on data collection and capability enhancement as we continue to strengthen and mature our AI inspection technologies,” said Mahmood Razak Bahman, Chief Executive Officer of PUSPAKOM.

The new facility is strategically located to serve customers from Kajang, Semenyih, Beranang, Bangi and surrounding areas, providing a closer and more convenient alternative to existing inspection centres while supporting increasing demand for vehicle inspection services in southern Selangor.

Currently, customers in the region are primarily served by nearby centres such as Bangi, Cheras and several Shah Alam locations. "As we continue expanding our network, every new facility incorporates lessons learned from customer feedback and operational experience. The Kajang branch has been designed to provide greater capacity, smoother customer flow and a more efficient inspection experience while maintaining the high standards of vehicle inspection that Malaysians expect from PUSPAKOM," Mahmood continued.

Why it Matters
Built as a high volume inspection centre, PUSPAKOM Kajang is currently the company's largest facility dedicated to light commercial vehicle and private vehicle inspections. The centre comprises ten inspection lanes, including five lanes for commercial vehicles and five lanes for private vehicles, with the capacity to inspect up to 800 vehicles daily.

"PUSPAKOM Kajang represents much more than a new inspection centre. It reflects our commitment to continuously improve accessibility and convenience for customers while ensuring that vehicle inspection services remain efficient, reliable and responsive to growing demand," said Mahmood.

The opening of PUSPAKOM Kajang comes amid continued population growth and increasing demand for accessible vehicle inspection services in the Kajang and Semenyih areas. According to projections by Majlis Perbandaran Kajang “MPKj”, the population within its administrative area is expected to grow from approximately 1.12 million in 2025 to 1.35 million by 20351, with Semenyih recording one of the highest growth rates in the district.
